At BRS, we welcome absolutely everyone who wants to come through our doors, whether for our social activities, our educational programmes, for support or for spiritual nourishment.

In our stunning premises in Bournemouth, we hold regular Shabbat and festival services that respond to those who need a combination of tradition and modernity. We hold that a healthy community is one that prays, socialises, learns, plans and grows together in an inclusive, non-judgemental way and the links from this site show you how we try to achieve this.

We hope that you enjoy looking round our site, and please do not hesitate to contact us if you want to learn more about our community.

Is The Merchant of Venice anti-semitic? What value is there in the play? Does it matter if the person playing Shylock is not Jewish? For an in-depth exploration of The Merchant of Venice between Rabbi Neil and two key members of the Brownsea Island Open Air Theatre Company, please click here.

Rabbi Neil launches www.eco-faith.org - find out more by clicking here.
