While prayer is obviously not the only avenue towards spirituality, it is an important arena for spiritual exploration. Here at Bournemouth Reform we try to combine the traditional forms of prayer with our own modern needs, answering the spiritual call of today while being honest to our tradition's responses of yesteryear to that same call.

From these pages, you are able to explore some of the elements that make up the prayer life of BRS.

Most importantly, you can access the pages of the Ritual Forum, the regular meeting of our members to discuss how we express ourselves during prayer.

Occasionally, Rabbi Neil leads an Explanatory Service on Erev Shabbat (Friday night), so that as we study our prayers in depth (we look in depth at one prayer each month), we come to appreciate them more and to explore some of the meanings behind them. To read brief notes from these services, please click on Pathways Through the Siddur.

We are very proud of our Choir and are always looking for new members who can help set the tone of the services with beautiful voices.

Our prayer life is always developing, particularly this year since we have just voted to adopt the new Reform siddur "Forms of Prayer," now in its eighth edition. Please click here to find out more about Forms of Prayer.

Prayer is not just a communal activity, but an intensely personal affair, the formation of an intimate connection between us and God. Please click here for some Thoughts on Prayer for your own personal contemplation.
